Child Protection Policy

Every child or young person who plays or participates in sport should be able to take part in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from abuse. This is the responsibility of every adult involved in the sport.

BANES School's Football Association, in association with the English Schools' FA and Football Association, recognises its responsibility fo safeguard the welfare of all children and young people by protecting them from physical, sexual or emotional harm and from neglect or bullying.

These responsibilities apply to anyone who is involved in the sport, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity and whether a member of staff or parent/volunteer helper, referee or other official. It is the responsibility of individual schools to ensure that all organisers/helpers/officials acting on their behalf comply with this policy, and the responsibility of the District committee to ensure the same with regard to all district team activities.

BANES School's Football Association has, in accordance with FA policy, a designated Child Protection officer who is Andrew Parnell of Monkton Combe School, to whom any concerns with regard to the above statement should be referred.
