  • Just a short note to remind everyone that the presentation evening is not happening this Sunday. A date will be fixed shortly.

The u10s have returned home safe and full of beans! A 1st and 3rd place finish in the Arnhem Cup in Holland was matched by excellent performances off the field - well done little ones. Can't wait to catch up at the presentation, date to be announced soon

Details for next season have yet to be released

TORBAY FESTIVAL: In true English tradition, we suffered once more semi-final heartache, the under 10s losing to Torbay A and the Under 11s losing in the penalty shootout to South East Cornwall. Never mind boys, some great goals and some great football left me in no doubt who the better players were.

PENALTIES HEARTBREAK...AGAIN. We crashed out of the South West Regional finals in Poole today after losing to Jersey 5-4 on penalties. Having missed a hatful of chances in normal time, the 1-1 score line after extra time meant the tie had to be decided by penalties. The eventual winners who now go to play at Wembley were Southampton, who we drew 0-0 with in the group stages. Well done to all those boys who travelled and many thanks to those parents who came to support.

KILLESTER UTD HIT TIMSBURY! Many thanks to all those who supported and were on duty in today's festival of activity! I hope that the boys managed to enjoy the experience despite the slightly chaotic scenes churning around them. Some excellent performances for us to mull over, well done!

Congratulations to Albie Hopkins (under 9) who has been awarded the Bristol City Academy player of the month for February. He will be presented with clothing and new boots at Ashton Gate during the Cardiff game from a 1st team player. In addition, well done to Jack Moore (under 11s) who was nominated from the under 11 age group, but who was pipped at the post by Albie!

Well played to all those who travelled over to Bristol on Friday night. The game against the Gas was a good one and there were many good performances. Diamond was a Diamond, ferocious efforts from Norris and Hopkins, dazzling skills from King, Brace and Drew, majestic vision from Ollis, Stef and Gurner...the list goes on. Well done little ones

7th March: Under 11s V Gloucester & Torbay in a triangular festival. Despite a victory in the first game against Torbay, the performance was not great. It was no surprise when a strong Gloucester side gave our boys a real lesson; disappointing performance although Patrick emerged as the knight in shining armour.

Killester United Day: Big day coming up against the Irish tourists on the 14th March. All invited so please let me know if you cannot take part. Donations to help fund the day more than welcome!

Despite playing well, Bath lost for the first time in 6 years against North Somerset this Saturday when they went down 5-4 on penalties after a 0-0 draw. Unfortunately, they will not progress to the Poole Regional finals, but the West Wiltshire will represent Wiltshire in Poole.

U11 7-a-side cup game is this Saturday at Monkton

1/1/09Following a night of endless explosions (fireworks) our under 11/12 squad managed to sleep in until the healthy time of 0930. A brief training session on shooting and volleying (more practice needed...) we met Skjold Copenhagen in a tightly contested fixture. Demkiv, Gould and Andrews all got their first international goals in a pleasing performance for the thousands of travelling supporters. Next up Brondby. 2/1/09 All fed and slightly weary but Copenhagen parents doing a grand job of looking after our boys. Hotine joins Jones in the prestigous hall of numptyville. An exciting game against Brondby finished in a share of the spoils. It's cold out here! 3/1/09 A new day, a new school, a new mattress! Eyes are darkening but spirits are high and it's the day of football, literally. A session with Tim at the congress and then a tough match against Hvidovre IF, and then a session with Guti from Real Madrid! 4/1/09 time to pack and catch a flight home but not before we have a session with Chelsea coach Jeff Bookman in front of 120 watching coaches- no pressure! 5/1/09 Home safe and time to recover! Thanks to all for making the tour to Denmark such a special trip, can't wait for the next one! Copenhagen Report

XMAS PARTY - Many thanks to all those who took part in the Xmas party activities on Saturday. The Go Karting proved to be a big, and very muddy, hit with the boys and there were some notable dodgy drivers amongst the group! The dance moves were even worse with most resorting to wrestling rather than dancing, but a good time was had by all! See you in the new year!

Many thanks to those who travelled down to Plymouth at the weekend. The weather was fantastic and the boys seemed to enjoy the games. Well done to Albie, Corey and Finley who grabbed their first Bath hattricks! Match Report

What a great weekend! Many thanks to all the players and parents who ventured across the water to Dublin. Our hosts were absolutely fantastic and ensured above all else that our travelling parents were both well fed and well hydrated! The boys played some lovely football and finished the day having scored some great goals, showed lovely comibination play, mixed the ages, played both 9-a-side and 11-a-side, and held their cool in a penalty shoot-out! Can't wait for the next adventure! Link to some photos: http://www.bathcityyouthfc.co.uk/bpsfa_v_killester/

We have two spaces available for the ski trip in December. Anyone interested please give Tim a ring.

BPSFA U11 v Plymouth: 22 players took part in the 9-a-side fixture against Plymouth this afternoon with the final score eventually going in Plymouth's favour by 2 goals to one. It was a lovely afternoon with 3 under 10s also getting a run out with the 'senior team'. Most pleasing were the large number of chances created and the endeavour in continually playing out from the back despite the consant pressure. Great effort boys well done.
