YOUNG STARS HONOURED

from the Bath Chronicle 15:00 - 25 May 2004

Representative players from Bath and North East Somerset gathered on Saturday evening for the first ever annual awards for Team Bath Futures and Bath Primary Schools' Football Association. A year on from the formation of the two organisations, players were awarded honours from Team Bath president Ivor Powell.

Powell, who recently received a place in the Welsh Hall of Fame, spoke of his joy to see so many young players receiving recognition for the high standards achieved in their first season.

The Team Bath side received their league winners and cup finalists trophies, while the Bath Schools' side also received their medals for their recent exploits in the South West six-a-side tournament.

Winners at the presentation included Bath Schools' captain Lewis Hunt who won the Ivor Powell Trophy as well as the honour of player of the Cotswold League.
