The Champions display their medals and Shield
with Bradley holding his Player of the Tournament
trophy.
Bath win Cotswold Title
Bath
were crowned champions on Saturday as they finished first and
third in the annual Cotswold league 6-a-side tournament in
Swenson.
Last
year’s runners up and this year’s national finalists,
Bath
were considered to be
the
favourites for the title. The A team eventually
clinched the title after beating Swindon 2-1 in the final game
and the B team was denied the runner’s up spot after being
held to a 1-1 draw in their final game also against
Swindon.
More honours
were presented to
Bath when
young midfielder
Bradley
Norris
(
Oldfield
Park
) was
awarded with the Most Valuable Player of the tournament
trophy.
Coach Tim Kirk, ?The schools and clubs of Bath are
very fortunate to have such a determined and talented group of
footballers represent them. They have impressed
all who have watched them this year and there is still more to
come. We will
wind down now and give the boys a well earned rest before
preparing in earnest for the national final in June. Just like
Chelsea
,
we’re going for the treble now! ?

Bath V West
Wiltshire 2-0
Oswin, Norris
Bath got
their campaign off to an extraordinary start when after just
two minutes a powerful goal kick from the Wiltshire keeper was
headed straight back into his goal by Will Oswin
(Newbridge) from 20 yards. Bath continued to
push forward and it was no surprise when Bradley Norris (Oldfield
Park) added a second
from a corner. The score could have been
higher but for some narrow misses from Grappy up front and
Norris in
midfield.
Bath V Vale
of White Horse 2-0
Rowlands, Norris
Bath once
again began the game in a determined fashion and immediately
pressured the Vale defence. A good passing move
resulted in Jack Rowlands tucking the ball
away neatly past the stranded keeper.
Bath
then sealed the game with a second goal for Bradley Norris.
In both periods, Rowlands and Smithies maintained their
efforts in defence and limited the Vale to few chances.

In a jubilant mood
already, Bath

seconds.
