The high standard of
play and commitment shown by footballers aged between seven
and 11 in Bath proved a pleasant surprise for teachers in the
city this year. A range of competitions have been on offer for
boys and girls throughout the year, along with greater
opportunities to receive a good level of coaching thanks to
the increased number of extra-curricular
activities.
All these factors have contributed to the
stunning success of the area's representative team, who
recorded a record number of victories and progressed to the
national finals.
They also defeated various
professional academies and by the end of the season, half of
the Bath squad had been signed by local academy
teams.
