Plausible Portsmouth Pull It Off!

BANES 1     Portsmouth 3
Match Report by Harry Daniels
Banes did not play at the top of their game providing a much needed win for Portsmouth.
The final score was 3-1. New goalie Robin [Monkton Coombe] was a little nervous at first but played well with a fantastically brave save in the first half. Old timers Ryan and Harry defended well but were ultimately let down by their passing.  Jamie Smithies and Milo McNulty tracked back well when there was danger.  Good passes from Andy Marks kept the game moving  despite several offside decisions against him. Paris's skill and strength won him all his 50/50 chances, he took several of these upfield to shoot at goal but was frustrated by the Portsmouth keepers confident saves and safe hands.  Man of the match went to Bradley Norris because he was brave and his passing was good.  Bradley got taken down by an aggresive Portsmouth player who kicked Bradley in the knee.  Banes only goal opened the scoring,  an excellent lob from Will Oswin. A tough talking followed from boss Tim Kirk but swimming and a meal at Mcdonalds meant that everybody enjoyed a wonderful  day.
