Season 2007-8
A big thank you to everyone who attended and made the presentation evening a memorable occasion. Despite the lucky penalty win by the kids, the adults were by far the better team and are still unbeaten (in full time anyway) in 5 years! Congratulations to all the players for a super season, one to remember that's for sure.

They think it's all over...
Bath & West Wilts finished the season strongly with a fantastic performance up north at the weekend. Once again, behaviour was immaculate and a good time was had by all at Anfield (I have had to wash my hands continuously)as well as at Alton Towers. Many thanks to the boys and parents for a lovely end to the season. To top it off, Everton secured UEFA Cup football as well - what a weekend!
Some action photos from Jersey and the Jersey Report and here's a few pictures from the Gladiators trip.
Bath & Wilts under 10s travelled to Gloucester on Wednesday for a 9-a-side friendly and did the region proud. Some good football on a difficult pitch and an excellent work ethic saw the youngsters win 1-0 when Jake A. scored from a long range free kick. The boys are already looking forward to next season.
Bath tasted defeat in Poole today going out to eventual Regional Champions South Cornwall by a single goal in the semi-final. Bath finished top of the group having gone undefeated and conceding just one goal. However, the bruising encounter against Bristol in the last group game took its toll on our boys and Cornwall progressed to the final when they scored early on in the semi. Match report from Max O Leary.
Bath were crowned county champions for the fourth successive season with a 2-0 victory over North Somerset on Wednesday. In control of the game for long periods, it took Bath until deep into the 2nd half to score their first goal through Matt L. The crowd soon lost count of the number of chances which Bath squandered, but the single goal was enough to win the game. James B rounded off the game in the additional third period with a good left-foot finish from the far right corner. Bath will now go to Poole to contest the regional championship a week on Saturday. West Wilts played their county round against Swindon and were pipped 1-0 after extra time. In the additional periods thereafter West Wilts found their form, however, and outplayed their hosts winning 2-1 with goals from Matt M and Dan D. Unfortunately, the initial 1-0 loss meant that they would not progress to the next round alongside Bath.
At a chilly Millfield on Saturday, games against Newbury ended in a 5-2 and 4-1 in favour of the home side. It took the first squad a while to warm up but once they did three goals from Danny D, an own goal and one from Matt M were enough to see off Newbury. In the second game, the standard of play was raised and despite conceding a dubious penalty (dodgy refereeing by Greg) Charlie W was on target twice yet again as was Josh R (1st goal of the season) and Ryan F. Well done boys. Good luck for the games this week.
The Bath contingent hitting the slopes in Bormio over half term have returned in good spirits and unscathed!
The skiing was impressive especially from the beginners who managed to get the hang of flying down the slopes
after just the second day. Photos here.
Bath continued their good run with the two teams overcoming Newbury. Jacob S grabbed a hattrick whilst Charlie W helped himself to 4 goals! Jake A also finished well on his full debut. A special mention for the two big men Ben and Tom who did a great job. A fantastic footballing display was only marred by an injury to Rory C who was replaced by Max in goal. Hopefully Rory will be back fit soon.
Plymouth played hosts to our under 11s in Ashburton with Bath & West Wilts winning by 6 goals to 1. There were many good performances. Match report by Captain O Leary.
